Play Synopsis
Sins of The Father
The play "Sins of the Father" is an inspiring work by Ms. Reid, about overcoming insurmountable obstacles through faith in God. As an abused wife and mother for over 13 years, the main character reaches a turning point after the death of her son at the hands of a drug dealer. This tragedy leads her to share the abuse she’s enduring at the hands of her drug addicted husband with her church.
She is determined to move forward, away from a tortured past to a future filled with hope. In spite of the challenges, she ultimately achieves the college degree she was originally denied as a young woman because of her pregnancy. Inspired by her church, friends and family, she conquers her fears and places her trust in the God she had been serving all those years.
