Sins Of  The Father

Play Synopsis

The play "Sins of the Father" is an inspiring work by Ms.  Reid, about overcoming insurmountable obstacles by trusting in God’s power.  As an abused wife and mother for over 13 years, the main character reaches a turning point in her life.  The death of her son at the hands of a drug dealer convinces her to share with her church her struggles with abuse she’s enduring at the hand of her drug-addicted husband.  She is determined to move forward away from a tortured past to a future filled with hope.  In spite of the challenges, she ultimately achieves the college degree she was originally denied at seventeen because she was pregnant.  Inspired by her church, friends and family, she conquers her fears and places her trust in the God she had been serving all those years.
