Roxanne “Rocky” Reid

Ms. Reid is a local playwright, produce and director.  She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management in May of 2000.   In 2001, Ms. Reid started Southern Gal Productions.  S G specializes in theater and show productions. She produces talent shows, fashion shows, comedy shows, Plays and Skits. She has written several skits for various churches and fellow producers.  November of 2010 Ms. Reid wrote and produced a skit Things Are Not Always What They Seem”, an AIDS skit for Howard University’s Fundraiser Luncheon to benefit their first Aids Conference held December 3, 2010.  She has written plays, "Sins Of The Father", "The Preacher Man",  "The Do Drop In", “Silent Screams” , “Getting My Piece Of The Pie” , “Grandma’s Hands”, “Blu Come Home” and recently The Family That Preys.

The Gospel Comedian Gertha Mae Brown

Gertie has performed at the Federal Aviation Administration’s Combined Federal Campaign fundraisers, The National Coast Guard, Refreshing Spring Church in Riverdale Maryland, Mt. Calvary Church, Eastern Community Church and the Publick Playhouse in Cheverly Maryland.  She has also performed for nursing homes in Washington, DC for their Black History Programs.  She loves laughter and has been performing since 2000.
